Rachel Medill "We live in our conservatory - it is the most fantastic and adaptable space, night and day, all year round." Rachel Medill, Bedfordshire

Rachel Medill

The Dove House comprises a dovecote which dates from around 1750 and two oak framed barns which abutt the dovecote in a T shape. The Amdega fits into the east facing corner of the T and its window frames were designed to echo the arched design of the dovecote windows. It is surrounded by an acre of garden and orchard and looks across farm and woodland.

The Amdega is a classical gable, lean-to combination design with full width bi-folding doors which fold back to the gable ends, allowing Rachel to fully enjoy the views. The eaves detail combines dentil mould and small cornice and the sash design is Romanesque.
